Most of the time spent in the Traditional Instructor Led courses for ACLS and PALS is spent watching videos (approx 6-8 hours per discipline).

The precourse work option helps to remove the videos from the in-person time. This reduces the in-person class time dramatically.

The benefits of the Precourse Work Model are:

  • Precourse work allows the student to watch videos on their own time, at their own pace.
  • Precourse work allows the student to rewatch any videos that they need to, as many times as they need to, for mastery.
  • The precourse work ensures that every student in the class has watched the same videos, at least once, before coming to the instructor-led portion of the course.
  • The instructor-led time can therefore be spent discussing any questions from the videos. This, coupled with practice of skills leads to further mastery and proficiency.
