Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support will cover and reinforce the following topics: CPR for Adult Cardiac Arrest Victims, Airway and Respiratory management of patients in respiratory arrest or distress, and the Team Dynamics of an arrest event. The “MegaCode” team scenario reviews topics from high-quality CPR to pharmacology and defibrillation.

You will need to have a valid BLS provider certification to participate in an ACLS classroom course or skills session. If your BLS provider certification has expired, we can bundle a BLS and ACLS skills session. This will save you time and synchronize the expiration dates of both certifications. Select the “Double Play” for BLS and ACLS courses on the registration page.
Classroom Instruction
Instructor-led training in the classroom is recommended for new students. This format offers the greatest amount of practice time and interaction with the instructor. While we offer classroom renewal courses, the Blended Learning model is more suited for returning students. The eLearning course offers a streamlined way to renew a current AHA Provider Certification.
In the continued interest of public safety, we restrict the number of students in each class. In fact, our students comment that they appreciate the smaller class size and more personalized instruction.
We encourage students and the instructor to wear a mask at all times. Likewise, all equipment is thoroughly cleaned between each class and appointment.

Blended Learning
CSRE and our students recommend the AHA HeartCode® blended learning model. Upon successful completion of the eLearning course and hands-on skills requirements, students will receive an AHA Provider Certification eCard.
There are two options for completing your registration:
Option 1: Register for the eLearning + Skills Session and your course fee will include the HeartCode® eLearning code for your course(s) in addition to an appointment for your skills session. You will select a date for your skills session during the registration process.
Option 2: If you already have a Course Completion Certificate from a HeartCode® eLearning course, then register for a Skills Session appointment only. The hands-on skills session will satisfy “Part 2” of the Blended Learning Model. To purchase the HeartCode® access yourself you will find the options on the AHA store.
If you are renewing your ACLS Certification and would like to renew your BLS at the same time, register for our BLS & ACLS Double Play. You will receive two HeartCode programs to complete online and then meet with an instructor for a combined skills session appointment.
