K-12 Educator Courses
Training or Full Certification to Meet Your Needs
Offering educators and administrators the highest quality training in first aid, CPR and AED use in accordance with VDOE guidelines. The course registration below is available only to those working in a public K-12 school system.
All of the training options listed below meet licensure requirements for Virginia Educators; with attention to the fundamentals of first aid, the life saving skills of CPR, and how to use an AED. Completing a training or certification course inspires self-confidence in your ability to respond in an emergency. As professional development, the cost of this course should be reimbursable through your school system.
CSRE believes in and honors the heroes who shape, inspire, educate, encourage, and nurture the next generation. For this reason, we discounted the registration fee on the courses listed below specifically for K-12 educators and administrators in Henrico County Public Schools, and in surrounding municipalities.

Heartsaver® Total is a self-directed course which provides expanded first aid skills training, plus CPR, and AED use. To receive the “Expanded Certification Program”, choose the Add-on during registration.
Use the title link for any of the courses above to see the schedule of availability and to register. CSRE is an American Heart Association Training Site. We do not offer Red Cross skills appointments.
In any event, training is more fun with friends. Courses not meeting the minimum of four registrations will be rescheduled. Encourage a friend to come with you!
With regularity, training options are available in the CSRE Classroom located on Parham Road Broad Street and I-64. Periodically through the school year, we host Skills Session appointments in schools around Henrico County. Please see the list on this page for more information about on-site event dates.

Contact Kristen Seibert at (804) 303-8915 or registrations@csrerva.com to schedule CSRE to come to your school for either an in-person class or group, hands-on skills sessions. As we schedule with area schools, we will post the location, date and registration information here.
Virginia Department of Education
Every person seeking initial licensure or renewal of a license shall provide evidence of completion of certification or training in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the use of automated external defibrillators. The certification or training program shall (i) be based on the current national evidence-based emergency cardiovascular care guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automated external defibrillator, such as a program developed by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, and (ii) include hands-on practice of the skills necessary to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The Board shall provide a waiver for this requirement for any person with a disability whose disability prohibits such person from completing the certification or training.
